After a lengthy break, Pitso Mosimane and his Al Ahli Saudi side will resume their bid to clinch the title and gain promotion to the Saudi Pro League.
The Saudi First Division League resumed on Monday after 11 days of inactivity due to the recently concluded international break.
Mosimane’s side were last in action just under three weeks ago when they suffered a shock 2-0 defeat at the hands of Al-Riyadh.
Al AHLI DESPERATE TO BOUNCE BACK FROM DEFEAT
It was Ahli’s second defeat under the tutelage of Mosimane, with the only other loss being the 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Al Akhdoud in February.
Their latest defeat was another blow to their title hopes, with rivals Al-Hazem taking full advantage to move back to the top of the table.
Mosimane’s Ahli now trail the log leaders by a solitary point after 25 matches with just nine games remaining.
The Royals, as Ahli are affectionately known, will be eager to bounce back from their last defeat by beating Al Jabalain at Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa’ed Stadium on Tuesday.
They have shown before that they can take a defeat and come back stronger, having gone on an impressive five-match winning run after their last loss.
PITSO MOSIMANE REFRESHED AFTER TIME OFF
Mosimane will return refreshed from the break, having taken some much-needed time away from his team to visit his native South Africa this past week.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns tactician was unveiled as the latest ambassador for the Nedbank Cup last week and also took some time to visit the SAFA Technical Centre.
Mosimane also enjoyed some quality time away from the game with his family, taking his wife and three children to a Formula 1 race in Jeddah.
