Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has cast doubt on Mothobi Mvala’s availability for their next 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda on Tuesday.

The Mamelodi Sundowns hardman suffered a groin injury on Saturday when Bafana Bafana played their first qualifier.

They beat Benin 2-1 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium courtesy of goals that were scored by Percy Tau and Khuliso Mudau in the first half.

Steve Mounie scored Benin’s consolation goal in the 70th minute, as Bafana Bafana held onto the lead to surge to the top of the Group C standings, with three points.

Unfortunately, they had two players, Mothobi Mvala and Evidence Makgopa, withdrawn during the match due to different injuries.
