Kaizer Chiefs are in hot water as they have been charged by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee with crowd violence.
The unruly behaviour by the Amakhosi fans at FNB Stadium on Saturday was their fourth offence this season, following similar incidents at Mbombela Stadium, Peter Mokaba Stadium and Lucas Moripe Stadium where the angry supportere threw objects at head coach Molefi Ntseki.
Ntseki, who condemned the actions of the fans, calling for patience after the 1-0 defeat to AmaZulu FC in the Carling Knockout Cup Last 16 has since parted ways with Amakhosi.
The Soweto giants on Monday afternoon announced Ntseki’s departure on mutual consent, while also stating that Cavin Johnson will take over on an interim basis.
As a result of the poor results, Chiefs’ fans expressed their unhappy in a violent matter which has landed the club in trouble with the PSL.
Chiefs were fined R200,000, of which R50,000 is suspended for six months on condition that they are not found guilty of the same offensce in that period.

However their fans threw missiles at Ntseki once again and the PSL DC found Chiefs guilty of the same offence. On Monday evening, PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu issued the league’s verdict on the Chiefs matter.
CHIEFS CHARGED BY PSL FOR FANS’ MISBEHAVOUR
“I hereby confirm that earlier this afternoon (Monday), I preferred charges of spectator misbehaviour and unruly conduct against Kaizer Chiefs,” said Majavu.
“As a sequel to what transpired in their recent match against AmaZulu this past Saturday. They will be appearing before the PSL on 31 October 2023 at 11:30 in the morning,” said Majavu.
Majavu had previously warned that Chiefs would face a stadium ban if there was another incident of crowd trouble. This puts Amakhosi’s next two home games against Cape Town Spurs on 8 November and Orlando Pirates on 11 November under threat.
