Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa has warned his teammates about the threat posed by AmaZulu ahead of their DStv Premiership clash on Wednesday.
The South African champions visit Usuthu, who are pushing for a top-eight finish. Mamelodi Sundowns recently clinched their sixth league title with seven games to spare, underlining their dominance.
Under the tutelage of Rulani Mokwena, Sandawana has picked 20 wins out of 27 outings in the league. Three of their five draws came when they had seemingly taken the foot off the pedal after winning the league.
They have only lost twice, but Mosa Lebusa cautions his teammates that it’s no reason to take the Durban side for granted.
MOSA LEBUSA EXPECTS TOUGH CONTEST AGAINST AMAZULUÂ
“I think it’s going to be a tough one. They [AmaZulu] are fighting for their lives,” Mosa Lebusa told the club media.
“The results haven’t been coming their way. Judging from their previous game, they got three points, so I think they will make it as difficult as possible for us.
“It’s going to be a very good game. I’m anticipating them going toe to toe with us because they are fighting for their lives.

“And as Sundowns, when we analyse opponents, we never analyse individuals but the whole team.
“They have a couple of individuals who have been in good form. As a team, they are more dangerous than individuals,” Mosa Lebusa added.
BUOYED BY CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE RUN
Sundowns will be buoyed by their qualification for the CAF Champions League semi-final, where they face Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca.
In addition, in their last league match, they beat Richards Bay 1-0 at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium last Tuesday [25 April].
Sundowns will likely use the Usuthu test to prepare for Wydad next Friday away in Casablanca. They will then host the Moroccans a week later as they look to win the coveted African title.
