After missing out on a chance to play in the FIFA Club World Cup final, Percy Tau’s Al Ahly will now face off with Urawa Reds of Japan in the 3rd and 4th place match on Friday afternoon.

Al Ahly lost 2-0 to Brazilian side Fluminense on Monday night in the first semi-final, before Urawa Reds suffered a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday night.

This means Manchester City and Fluminense will lock horns in the final, which is slated for Friday night.

In the highly entertaining semi-final game, an own goal from Marius Hoibraten and fine second half strikes from Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva secured City’s safe passage through to the final in their first ever appearance at the tournament.

A win for them on Friday, would see them become the first English team in history to hold the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup simultaneously.
