DStv Premiership side AmaZulu is set to tie down Sede Junior Dion to a long-term contract after some good performances from the player this season.

AmaZulu is reportedly planning to offer highly-rated and in-demand striker Sede Dion a new contract to prevent DStv Premiership rivals from signing him.

The Ivorian forward contract with Usuthu expires on June 30, 2024, as he joined the club on a one-and-half-year deal from Motsepe Foundation Championship side Marumo Gallants in December 2022.

It means if they don’t extend his deal, he will be free to sign a pre-contract in January 2024, just six months before the expiry of his contract.

Indications are that the Sandile Zungu-owned club is preparing to offer the striker an extension, which could be an attempt to make sure they don’t lose him for free in June of 2024.
