SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt says his eyes are not set on one competition as they prepare for their Carling Knockout Cup tie.

SuperSport United are pencilled to take on Polokwane City in the Carling Knockout Cup on Sunday.

Matsatsantsa undoubtedly hopes to make light work of the stubborn Polokwane City in this ding-dong competition.

With the MTN8 Cup already in Orlando Pirates‘ cabinet, coach Gavin Hunt is fancying his chances of winning the remaining cups.

They have been decent in the DStv Premiership and are not far from leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, with eight points separating them.

Hunt and his men also compete in the demanding and taxing CAF Confederations

So far, they have sailed smoothly since they reached the group phase, where they were drawn into Group A.

The group consists of USM Alger of Algeria, Future FC of Egypt and Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya.

However, the ambitious Hunt is in a buoyant mood as they face Rise and Shine in a competition that took a different this season.

“In any cup competition over the world, the draw plays a part. Sometimes, you can get a draw and then the right flow.

“With our travelling in this cup competition. We have to be careful because of the CAF competitions.

“Let’s try and get through the weekend and see how it goes. For now, we can’t prioritise one thing. We go for everything in our reach.

“But we also look at what is coming ahead of us. We got some big games, we will be in Egypt soon, and it’s big for us.

“We are fortunate to have all these cup competitions for years in the country. They are lucrative for the players and club owners.

“But for me, the league is where we should be judged. It’s like going into the African Super League now, looking at who has come where in the last ten years,” Gavin Hunt said.
