Al Wahda head coach Pitso Mosimane praised his team’s professionalism and respect for the opponent after their victory in the second leg of their recent match.

Al Wahda beat former Barcelona star Andres Iniesta’s Emirates Club 8-0 on aggregate to secure a place in the next round of the Arabian Gulf Cup.

They won the first leg 3-0 two weeks ago before firing five goals past Emirates Club on Thursday afternoon.

Mosimane has praised his charges, saying they demonstrated professionalism in their approach to the game.

“We demonstrated a high level of professionalism in handling the match,” Mosimane said. “Respecting the opponent is a crucial factor in achieving a great result. I congratulate the players and the team on this fantastic performance. We hope to maintain this level in the remaining matches.”

MOSIMANE DEMANDS PROFESSIONALISM AND RESPECT

Mosimane’s comments highlight the importance of professionalism and respect in football. When teams approach matches with these qualities, they are more likely to achieve positive results.

Professionalism involves demonstrating a commitment to excellence and a willingness to work hard. It also means being prepared for matches and positively conducting oneself on and off the pitch.

Respect for the opponent means acknowledging their strengths and weaknesses and playing fairly. It also means avoiding any unnecessary provocation or bad sportsmanship.

Pitso Mosimane’s team demonstrated these qualities in their tie against Emirates Club. They scored two goals before halftime before adding another four in a game they dominated.

Al Wahda went into the match well-prepared and played with high intensity. They opened the scoring through Christian Guanca, who was also on target in the first leg. He scored from the penalty spot before in-form Argentinian forward Facundo Kruspzky added the second.

Kruspzky added three second-half goals as Al Wahda completed their rout.

Mosimane will now shift focus to the league, with their next game set for the 24th of September against Hatta.

The former Bafana Bafana coach recently took over as head coach at the UAE outfit and was given the mandate to win the UAE Pro League.
