Kaizer Chiefs have released midfielder Kamohelo Mahlatsi, becoming the ninth player to leave the club this transfer window.
The 25-year-old joined Chiefs from Swallows FC at the start of the 2022/23 season but struggled to make an impact. He made just seven appearances for the club in all competitions.
Mahlatsi’s release comes as part of a major overhaul at Chiefs. The club has already parted ways with eight other players, including Khama Billiat, Kgaogelo Sekgota, and Cole Alexander.
It is still being determined where Mahlatsi will go next, but he hopes to find a new club where he can get regular playing time.
“The club and Mahlatsi have been talking regarding a mutual termination. They’ve finally agreed on a mutual separation,” a source told SN24.
