Jwaneng Galaxy talisman Daniel Msendami has said his side is ready to upset Orlando Pirates when the two teams meet in the CAF Champions League on Saturday, writes Nosizo Mazibeli.

The encounter is on Sunday, 17 September 2023, at the National Stadium in Gaborone. Galaxy will face the South African DStv giants in a potentially explosive CAF Champions League encounter.

The Zimbabwean winger has vowed that Galaxy will take no prisoners as they face in-form Bucs.

“We are prepared to give Orlando Pirates a hard game,” he said telephonically.

“Some people, when they look at us, see underdogs, but we will show up on Saturday to prove them wrong.

“We have been training hard and would like to see our hard work bear fruits.”

GALAXY INTENTION OF WINNING

Jwaneng Galaxy have every intention of winning the game. They will be buoyed by their run in the 2021 edition, where they reached the competition’s group stages at the expense of Tanzania giants Simba SC.

“As a player, you can not wish to lose. We have a positive attitude, and everyone looks forward to the encounter.

“We want to win, have home advantage, and expect the fans to rally behind us. To be the 12th man.”

The former Highlanders Football Club star says he has been following Pirates’ games ahead of the fixture.
