Kaizer Chiefs have apologised to the PSL for the unruly behaviour of their fans in a DStv Premiership clash against TS Galaxy last month.
The PSL’s disciplinary committee had ordered Chiefs to carry out an apology on their website, and on Tuesday evening, the club did as instructed.
This comes after Chiefs supporters expressed their frustrations in a violent manner
when their team lost 1-0 to Galaxy at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
The Amakhosi fans threw objects at head coach Molefi Ntseki, who had to be escorted off the field by the police and security personnel.
In addition to the directive to condemn the action of their fans, Chiefs were fined R100 000, of which R30 000 was suspended only if the club is not found guilty of the same offence in a period of 24 months.
The Soweto giants had pleaded guilty to “misconduct relating to the throwing of missiles, otherwise known as spectator misbehaviour.”

Ntseki and his troops have since won back-to-back league games and drew 1-1 against Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 first-leg semi-final this past weekend.
However, it remains to be seen when the club will end their eight-year trophy drought, as they last lifted silverware in the 2014/2015 season.
