SuperSport United is being linked to a talented 23-year-old winger ahead of the next transfer window.

Daniel Msendami, who turns out for Morena Ramoreboli’s Jwaneng Galaxy, is reportedly a target of Matsatsantsa.

The speedy winger was developed at Zimbabwe giants Highlanders Football Club before making a loan switch across the Ramaquebane Border this season.

In Botswana, Msendami is under South African coach Ramoreboli, who has likened his play to Kaizer Chiefs’ Khama Billiat.

The Zimbabwean attacker has been impressive for Ramoreboli’s side as they chase the league title in the diamond-rich nation.

He has scored eight goals and provided six assists this season, as Galaxy sit at the top of the table.

The Jwaneng-based club have collected 56 points off 23 games, only succumbing to defeat once.

Second-placed Gaborone United are five points behind them, having played the same number of games.

While interest from relegation-bound PSL side Maritzburg United and Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Black Leopards has waned, SuperSport still fancy their chances of snapping up the unheralded frontman.

Msendami is on record saying he has been made aware of interest in his services.

“It has been brought to my attention that inquiries have been made about my availability to the club, and as I play, I know that there are people following me week in and week out, which makes me even work harder,” he said.

Besides SuperSport, top clubs in East Africa, including Azam FC, are monitoring the talented forward.

Reports in his native country have suggested there is interest from Qatar for next season.

He has been on loan in Botswana since August 2022 before Jwaneng Galaxy decided to sign him permanently in a deal reportedly worth about R250 000.

Highlanders inserted a sell-on clause which will see them pocket 30 percent should Msendami be sold to another club.
