Former Orlando Pirates coach Mandla Qhogi has landed a coaching job at Sekhukhune United as the club looks to strengthen its structures.

Sekhukhune United bolstered their DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) technical team by adding the revered youth coach to their structures.

He is credited for developing youngsters such as Buccaneers starlet Relebohile Mofokeng, among others. 

Qhogi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Babina Noko, having spent almost two decades with Orlando Pirates, where he played a crucial role in developing young players who have become prominent figures in South African football.

His appointment is a significant move for Babina Noko, demonstrating the club’s commitment to strengthening its youth development program. The club has made it clear they want to develop their players and ensure they start selling.

The new addition is expected to provide the club with the necessary expertise and guidance to elevate its DDC performance and contribute to developing talented young players.

WHAT IS BEING SAID ABOUT MANDLA QHOGI’S APPOINTMENT?

A source said Qhogi was excited about joining Sekhukhune United and contributing to the club’s youth development goals. “He’s thrilled to join Sekhukhune United and work with such a talented group of young players. He’s confident he can bring his experience and expertise to the club and help the DDC team achieve its goals.”

Many will welcome his arrival as he will work closely with Paulos Masehe as an assistant. The move signals the club’s ambition to establish a solid and successful youth development program. 

His valuable expertise will benefit Sekhukhune United’s DDC team, reflecting their commitment to South African football’s future.

With five wins, four draws, and two losses in 11 games, the Limpopo outfit is currently in sixth place in the league with 19 points. They are eight points behind league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Qhogi is expected to propel Babina Noko in their quest for the championship.
