Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki admits four losses in nine DStv Premiership matches is unacceptable as he seeks solutions to the team’s early-season struggles.
Molefi Ntseki and his men lost 1-0 to Cape Town City in a league clash at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night, thanks to a strike by Khanyisa Mayo.
And despite flashes of brilliance, the Soweto giants have failed to produce consistent results this season.
“It is too much (four defeats). It doesn’t go well with all of us in terms of losing matches. As I said, you prepare (for matches)to win,” said Ntseki.
“The team has brought in good quality players… I always say it’s a process for them (new quality players) to understand the game model.
“It’s a process for them to understand results like this. “It’s a process for them. Whenever they miss chances, do they stay calm?
“Do they stay confident to say the next chance I get, I will be able to score. But when you start worrying about losing a game, it means the confidence goes away.
“What is important is for us to build them and for us to have the confidence and belief to say the next game, we go for it – you don’t prepare for a loss in any way, any time you prepare, you prepare to win (games), added Ntseki.

The Amakhosi coach stated that his players’ lack of composure in critical moments hamper their goal-scoring potential.
This is despite Ntseki having a talented squad at his disposal. “It’s a bad result (against CT City). When you look at the plan going into the game, we know it could have been two wins in a row. We were looking forward to playing well and winning this game,” he added.
“But if you don’t score goals and concede in the manner in which we did, you will likely lose the game.
“However, if you look at the balance of play, we were in the forefront trying to keep possession and being more offensive. “Even after conceding, we piled pressure on the opponents looking for that equaliser and hopefully a winning goal, but on the day, decision-making let us down, opportunities created, set-plays became emotional and as a result, we couldn’t get a goal.”
