Al Ahly winger Percy Tau has revealed what playing for Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos is like.
The Belgian mentor has proven to be a demanding coach, and Tau believes he is good for the team.
Tau, who has 43 caps for Bafana Bafana, said that Broos is a straight talker unafraid to tell players what he thinks.

“He’s very confident, I don’t know if you guys see it,” Tau said at the 10Bet Bafana media breakfast.
“He is chilled, but he is a very confident coach, and he tells us we should also be confident because we are good players and have good players in South Africa.
“But he also tells it the way it is if we’re not doing the work, if we’re not running back, and if we’re not playing the way he wants us to.
“We are starting to see that his demands are getting closer to us, so we can easily share that he demands so much, we give him so much.”
Tau said that he is learning a lot from Broos and is excited about Bafana Bafana’s future.
Broos has been in charge of Bafana Bafana since 2021. He has guided Bafana Bafana to AFCON qualification.
The 70-year-old Belgian coach is known for his demanding style of coaching. He has a reputation for getting the best out of his players but has also been criticised for being too harsh.

Tau is one of the most talented players in South Africa. He has played for clubs in Belgium, England, and Egypt. He is known for his dribbling skills and ability to create chances for his teammates.
Bafana will gauge themselves against Namibia on Saturday, 9 September, at the Orlando Stadium. In the absence of Themba Zwane, Tau looks set to play a key role for Bafana.
On Tuesday, 12 September, Bafana welcome DR Congo at the same venue for another preparatory tie.
