Kaizer Chiefs’ new signing striker Efmamjjasond Gonzáles Palacios is optimistic of good strides at the club, saying he is raring to display his talent in Africa.
Efmamjjasond Gonzales, who will add the needed firepower up front for Amakhosi, arrived in South Africa on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old Colombian striker joins the Soweto giants from Bolivian top-flight club Real Santa Cruz. In Bolivia, he scored eight goals in 16 Primera División matches in the second half of the 2022/23 season.

Gonzalez, who is set to become the second Colombian to play for the Glamour Boys, after Leonardo Castro said: “I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given. It is a dream for me to be in Africa.
“For me, it is the centre of everything, I am happy to be here and very happy with what I have seen so far. I can’t wait to start.”
He is also the second South American player to join Kaizer Chiefs this season as the club looks to end their long trophy drought. Venezuelan international Edson Castillo has already put in several performances in central midfield.
Meanwhile, Amakhosi chairman, Dr Kaizer Motaung, believes the new striker will do well at the club.
“We wish to welcome Jasond Gonzalez to South Africa and also to wish him everything of the best,” said Motaung. “We know that he’s a ‘soldier’ because he hits the ground running.

“As he comes now, he has no time to waste; he has to be ready to use his weapons straight away. We want to make him feel comfortable here.
