Cole Alexander has reportedly joined the growing list of Kaizer Chiefs players leaving the club ahead of the new season.
This comes after Alexander, who still had a year remaining on his contract with Chiefs agreed to a payout.
The 33-year-old midfielder becomes the fourth player to head out the exit door at Naturena after Phathutshedzo Nange, Erick Mathoho and Siyabonga Ngezana.
Nange has since joined SuperSport United with Ngezana penning a deal with Romanian Lige 1 powerhouse, Fotbal Club FCSB. Mathoho remains clubless but he is linked with Sekhukhune United.

CHIEFS CONTINUES WITH THEIR RESHUFFLE
However, he saw little game time when Arthur Zwane took over the coaching reigns last season, making only seven appearances. It is also worth noting that Alexander also struggled with injuries throughout the 2022/23 campaign.
As of 01 July 2023, Alexander will be a free agent. With his experience in SA’s topflight, he is likely to find a new home before the new season starts.
He has had stints at Ajax Cape Town, SuperSport, Polokwane City, Chippa United and Bidvest Wits.
The midfielder has featured in over 260 matches in the PSL with 12 goals and seven assists to his name.
Meanwhile, Chiefs are set to welcome new players for the new season. Given Msimango from TS Galaxy, SuperSport’s Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Mduduzi Mdantsane from Cape Town City and Pule Mmodi of Golden Arrows.
The club also has a new coach in Molefi Ntseki, who was appointed on Wednesday. The ex-Bafana Bafana coach replaces Arthur Zwane at the helm.
