Lyle Foster and his Burnley FC teammates will be chasing a new English Championship record while playing their remaining games.
Burnley delayed their chance of clinching the English Championship league title early following their 0-0 stalemate against Reading.
The Bafana Bafana forward started his second consecutive game since the FIFA international break. However, the South African international was hooked off in the 81st minute.

BURNLEY’S JOURNEY TO THE TITLE
By getting the point against Reading, Burnley will remain at the summit with 91 points.
Burnley recently celebrated its promotion to the English Premier League on Friday, 7 April.
However, with that out of the way, Foster’s side have their sights on winning the league title.
The Clarets currently top the English Championship with 91 points and have 12 points separating them from second-placed Sheffield United.
On Saturday, Burnley had the chance to wrap it up early, with five games still to be played. However, they had a few permutations in the way.
Burnley’s hopes depended on Sheffield United’s results against Cardiff City. They would have wrapped it up if Sheffield United had dropped points against Cardiff City and Burnley won.
However, Sheffield United spoiled the party and won their game 4-1. Burnley can also break the Championship recording of the most points accumulated.
THE POSSIBLE RECORD
The record is currently held by Reading with 106 points. To achieve this feat, Foster and his teammates must win all their remaining games.
If Burnley goes on to win the league, this won’t be Foster’s first league title with a first-division side.
At KVC Westerlo in Belgium, Foster won the first-division league title, earning them topflight football promotion.
The league title Foster won with Westerlo was his first trophy in Europe since he started his European career in 2019.
