The Nedbank Cup enters the quarterfinal stage this weekend with eight teams fighting to go through to the semis.
Defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, and Orlando Pirates are still in the running.
This is the first time in nine years that all three giants of South African football have qualified for this tournament stage.

Dondol Stars vs Orlando Pirates (3pm)
Dondol Stars have already eliminated accounted for two PSL sides in the current edition of the Nedbank Cup. They beat SuperSport before eliminating AmaZulu. They will aim at Pirates’ scalp when the two clash in Polokwane.

Stellenbosch vs Sundowns (6pm)
Stellies are punching above their weight. They recently gave Sundowns a run for their money. Coach Steve Barker has made it clear that they want to start challenging for trophies. This could be a chance for them to stake a strong challenge. However, it will be challenging as they play the tournament’s defending champions.
In-form Stellenbosch winger Iqraam Rayners has banged in nine goals in seven games since rejoining them from SuperSport United during the January transfer window. Four of those goals have come in the Nedbank Cup since he returned to the club from SuperSport in January.
On the other hand, Neo ‘Billy the Kid’ Maema has featured in 31 matches across all competitions for Sundowns in the 2022/23 season. He will be hoping to contribute to his club.Â

The match looks set to produce fireworks. Chiefs are desperate to get a piece of silverware. But. Royal AM always revel in causing anguish to Chiefs fans. They will be out to inflict pain on Zwane’s charges.
