On-loan SuperSport United forward Zakhele Lepasa has revealed his long-term plan, and it has nothing to do with Orlando Pirates.

Zakhele Lepasa says he is ‘not thinking about going back to Pirates’ just two months after his loan switch to SuperSport.

Lepasa moved to the Tshwane side in January after struggling for game time at the Buccaneers.

He has started off so well, scoring two goals in his first five outings for the club.

The Bafana Bafana striker was also on target when the national team booked a place in the next edition of the AFCON finals set for Ivory Coast.

The 25-year-old striker had played 13 leagues in all competitions for Pirates, only contributing one goal and one assist.

“I’m doing well at SuperSport. It’s a different environment, but what I like is the freedom that I’ve been given to learn and make mistakes, and so I’m settling well,” said Zakhele Lepasa.

Following the arrival of Kermit Erasmus, Ndumiso Mabena and Souaibou Marou in January pushed him down the pecking order at the Soweto giants.

With his mind set on playing overseas, Lepasa is aware being on the sidelines will only derail his career.

“At the moment, I’m not even thinking about going back to Pirates or at the end of the season what will happened,” he added.

He has set his sights on helping SuperSport finish second ahead of his mother club.

“Maybe the loan will help, but in general, as a player, my goal is not to play in the PSL for the rest of my life if there’s a chance, it doesn’t matter where, and if it’s a bit better, then why not?

“Football only changes your life if you are on the football field, not the bench, not in the big team, so it doesn’t really matter where you play as long as you do well; that’s where my head space is at if I go back then it will be because of God.”
