Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly open to loaning out midfielders Sipho Mbule and Thembinkosi Lorch before the transfer window closes.

Sipho Mbule is undoubtedly a talented footballer with a wide range of skills but has struggled to establish himself at Chloorkop. The versatile midfielder, who can play as a 6, 8, or even 10, has had his career at Sundowns hampered by lack of game time and off-field issues.

Mbule recently returned to training after a knee injury sustained on the first day of pre-season. The injury was reportedly due to his weight, as he arrived back from the off-season significantly overweight. There are also concerns about his lifestyle, with reports of excessive drinking and even arriving at work under the influence.

On the other hand,Thembinkosi Lorch joined Sundowns in February against the wishes of sporting director Flemming Berg. Berg reportedly had reservations about Lorch’s age (31) and the financial implications of investing in a player over 30.

Despite these concerns, Lorch made a decent contribution to Sundowns last season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 20 appearances across all competitions. However, his future at the club appears uncertain.
