Veteran striker Bernard Parker finds himself at a career crossroads, pondering whether to continue his playing career or transition into coaching.
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi has reportedly extended an offer for Parker to co-coach the club’s reserve team alongside fellow veteran Vuyo Mere.
The 38-year-old forward acknowledges the significance of this opportunity.

He further reveals that he has received interest from other clubs, not all of which are for playing roles.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana striker emphasises the importance of prioritising his family’s well-being in his decision-making process, stating,
“I just need to sit down with my family and make sure I make a great decision for them.”
Having celebrated two decades as a professional footballer this year, Parker boasts an illustrious career with stints at Benoni Premier United, Thanda Royal Zulu, and in the Dutch Eredivisie and Serbia. His early days at Kaizer Chiefs were particularly successful, yielding two league titles.

Throughout his career, Parker has also prioritised education, obtaining a CAF C license coaching badge. He now aims to acquire his CAF B license, indicating a potential shift towards coaching when he finally hangs his boots.
