Mamelodi Sundowns forward Peter Shalulile’s striking partner in the Namibia national team, Bethuel Muzeu, has attracted interest from the DStv Premiership.
An SN24 source told this publication that the talented forward attracted interest from Cape Town Spurs and Richards Bay. The two struggling teams are looking to beef up their frontline during the January transfer window.
Muzeu is in his second season as a Black Leopards striker and has been in fine form in the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
“He has done very well for his club right now, and I am not surprised that he is attracting interest from DStv Premiership clubs. He is improving in all the games that he has been playing and given the chance. I think he can do it in the DStv Premiership. He is growing in confidence with more game time at Leopards,” said the source.
The talisman is one of the players that has stood out and subsequently attracted interest from the PSL. The 23-year-old has already scored six goals this season and is currently the second-highest goal scorer in the National First Division.
WHEN DOES BETHUEL MUZEU’S CONTRACT EXPIRE
The highly rated striker joined the Limpopo-based outfit ahead of the 2022/23 campaign from Namibian Premier League side Tura Magic FC. His contract with Lidoda Duvha will end in June next year, as confirmed by a source close to the player and the club.
Muzeu was spotted while playing for the Brave Warriors in the 2022 Cosafa Cup as they went all the way to the final. They lost 1-0 to Zambia in that particular final played in Durban. He was on target when Namibia beat Mozambique in the Cosafa Cup quarterfinal.

A source has since explained that a proposed move to either of the DStv Premiership outfits will depend on Leopards’ willingness to see the player moving elsewhere.
The player is in the club’s 2023/24 season plans, which could complicate matters for the two topflight clubs. Leopards are looking to bounce back to the top flight.
Tiklas Thutlwa and Siphelo Baloni are some of the players who earned big moves to the DStv Premiership to Sekhukhune United and Orlando Pirates, respectively, after impressing in the second tier last season.
The forward was part of the Brave Warriors 25-man squad for the World Cup Qualifiers against Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome.
