Orlando Pirates Football Club has announced that it will be commencing its internal disciplinary process following the conclusion of legal proceedings involving Thembinkosi Lorch. The club has stated that it is committed to upholding its values and ensuring that its players are held accountable for their actions.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Orlando Pirates Football Club said that it is “at all times mindful of its obligation as a result of the employer-employee relationship it has with the players.” The club added that it will handle the administration of justice in a manner that avoids double jeopardy, where players would be punished twice for the same offense.

The club’s statement also noted that “the above are consistent with the club values without which the Club would not function judiciously.”
As a result of the legal proceedings, Orlando Pirates Football Club has announced that it has removed Thembinkosi Lorch from all club activities until December 12.

The club has expressed its gratitude to its sponsors, supporters, and the broader community for their “space that you have provided in ensuring the rule of law and the clubs value system play out without hinderance.”
This means the Bafana Bafana star will miss Saturday’s fixture against Richards Bay at the King Zwelithini Stadium. He will also not be available on 9 December when they play TS Galaxy at Orlando Stadium.
Lorch will be back in action on 23 December when they face SuperSport United away from home.
