Baroka FC have completed the signing of midfielder Lifa Hlongwane, formerly with TS Galaxy.
Hlongwane is a 30-year-old midfielder who has played for a number of clubs in the DStv Premiership, including Maritzburg United and Black Leopards. He is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions in midfield.
Hlongwane is expected to add experience and quality to the Dan Malesela-coached squad. He is a good passer of the ball and a creative cog in attack. He is also a threat in the attacking third, and is capable of scoring goals.
The club on Wednesday confirmed they were delighted with the signing of Hlongwane. They believe Hlongwane is a quality player who will add a lot to their squad.Â

Malesela would particularly be excited about the versatility of the player.
Hlongwane will be looking forward to a new challenge at Baroka after being axed at TS Galaxy due to disciplinary issues.
He parted company with the Mpumalanga outfit after two seasons with the club at the end of the 2022/23 season.

Hlongwane is a welcome addition to the Baroka FC squad and he is expected to play a key role in the club’s fight to gain promotion to the DStv Premiership.
Bakgaga were relegated at the end of the 2021/22 season. They are fighting to return to the topflight.
The former topflight side have won five out of 12 matches so far and sit on fourth place.
Orbit College, who are top of the second tier league, are just two points ahead of them.
Dan Malesela is the man tasked to ensure they bounce back to the topflight.
