Renowned agent Rob Moore has named two candidates who he believes are perfect for the vacant Kaizer Chiefs head coach job.
Chiefs are searching for their next coach after parting ways with Molefi Ntseki recently. Cavin Johnson has been in charge on an interim basis.
Several top international coaches have been linked with the job. However, not too many local coaches have been touted to take over.
Asec Mimosas mentor Julien Chevalier, Sven Vandenbroeck, Nassredine Nabi and Abdelhak Benchikha are heavily linked with the job.
THE TWO SUITABLE CANDIDATES ROB MOORE THINKS CAN COACH CHIEFS
According to Rob Moore, only Pitso Mosimane and Benni McCarthy have the right credentials and character to steer Kaizer Chiefs. And as they search for the right man, Rob Moore has recommended two highly-rated coaches.
Benni McCarthy is currently at Manchester United where he is the strikers’ coach. Pitso Mosimane is unattached since parting ways with Al Wadha early this month.
“For me, there are only two South Africans who could take the job at Chiefs. [That’s] Pitso and Benni,” Moore told the TIFA podcast.
“Benni, because of his personality, because of the respect that players have for him, his ability to manage a locker room, his ability to call a game during a game situation.
“But we’re talking about Pitso and Benni. [Those are] two very strong characters, and who want things done and want things done properly.

“Their tolerance levels are low for things that aren’t done properly. So again, is Chiefs a 100% ready for that?
“I’m just purely saying from a South African [candidate] point of view, guys who know the league, know the country, have an intimate knowledge of where a club like Kaizer Chiefs needs to be because they know historically and they’ve experienced it and been in the middle of it.”
Indications are that Amakhosi will step up the search for a coach in December. They could also wait it out until the end of the season before they appoint a new man.
