South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly tracking the progress of Botswana striker Tumisang Orebonye.
The 25-year-old has been in impressive form for his club, USM Alger of Algeria, and his exploits have caught the attention of the Sundowns hierarchy.
Teenage, as Orebonye is affectionately known, joined USM from Olympique de Khourigba of Morocco last season.
His immense contribution made the Algerian giants crowned CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Super Cup winners.
According to reports, Sundowns are preparing a bid for Orebonye in the January transfer window.
The Brazilians are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the second half of the season, and they believe that Orebonye has the potential to be a star in the South African Premier League.
WHY SUNDOWNS WOULD BE CONSIDERING OREBONYE
Masandawana struggled a bit during the just-ended African Football League tournament with Peter Shalulile and Lucas Ribeiro injured. Ethiopian forward Abubeker Nassir has also been out for a while due to injury.
In their absence, Rulani Mokwena, Downs’ head coach, resorted to using Themba Zwane as a false nine. Ribeiro and Shalulile took part in the final on Sunday, winning 2-0. Namibian forward, Shalulile, was on target in the final against Wydad Athletic Club of Morocco.

The South African champions are eager to add a striker to their ranks ahead of 2024. They will be going for glory in the CAF Champions League.
If Sundowns successfully bid to sign the Zebras star, he will become the first Botswana player to play for the club.
Sundowns are currently at the top of the South African Premier League table and are on course to win their seventh successive title.
Adding Tumisang Orebonye would give them even more firepower in attack, making them even more challenging to beat.
