Despite Orlando Pirates dropping four crucial points in their last two DStv Premiership games matches, head coach Jose Riveiro is not a concerned man.

The Soweto giants played out to a 1-1 draw against league returnees Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Friday night.

It was Orlando Pirates second draw in a row as they shared the spoils with AmaZulu FC in Durban in a midweek league clash.

With the inconsistent results, Pirates are in 12th place on the log standings after seven matches, 15 points behind Mamelodi Sundowns, who are at the summit. Pirates have only won two of the seven games, with three draws and two defeats.

WHY PIRATES COACH JOSE RIVEIRO IS NOT CONCERNED

“No, I am not concerned with the points I cannot be concerned,” he said. “Points is something abstract. It’s a figure. I cannot be concerned with a point.

“But I can be concerned with some things that we are not doing well and that we need to correct during the week. We are not finding the goal as easy or the three points as we would like, and that’s a handicap obviously in a game like football.

“I am busy with the problems that we have, I am not concerned. To make sure that game after game, we get new problems but not old problems. If we continue to get old problems, then it means we are doing something wrong.

The Bucs coach added: “So that’s the thing, I am busy trying to help my players to win games and to score more goals.

“It’s about what they want to see, the team fighting until the end. I think we are fighting, and we fought until the end. Nobody can say Pirates didn’t run today, but probably not in our best space the way we want to play. But we move, we go to the next one.”
