DStv Premiership returnees Cape Town Spurs are hunting for a new coach to replace Shaun Bartlett following his departure.
CT Spurs parted ways with Bartlett on Monday morning following a series of poor results.
The Urban Warriors decided to part ways with Bartlett after a review of the team’s performance and discussions with the coach.
Under the guidance of Bartlett, CT Spurs have had a horrendous start to the 2023/24. The club lost all seven games they have played so far this season.
CT Spurs’ last defeat was in the Cape Town derby on Saturday at the DHL Stadium, where they lost 3-1 to Cape Town City.
The game happened to be Bartlett’s last in charge of CT Spurs, with the club languishing at the bottom of the log standings on zero points.

Spurs CEO Alexi Efstathiou recently announced that Irish coach Sean Connor had been appointed Technical Director. Connor’s appointment is part of the club’s re-structure of the coaching set-up.
Meanwhile, a shortlist of candidates has been identified, and an announcement is expected imminently.
Former Polokwane City coach Luc Eymael is reportedly one of the coaches who has expressed interest in the job.

Ex-Kaizer Chiefs coach Muhsin Etugral was offered the job, but it is still being determined whether he is interested.
Cavin Johnson, recently appointed head of academy at Kaizer Chiefs, turned down an approach for the job.
The club fired Bartlett a few weeks after the board said that the coach had their full backing as they believed he was the right man to change CT Spurs’ fortune.
Spurs take on SuperSport United in their next game on Wednesday, 4 October, at the Athlone Stadium.
They will be looking to pick their first win of the season when they host Matsatsantsa.
