The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that Moses Mabhida Stadium will host the MTN8 final on Saturday, 07 October 2023.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup venue will stage the MTN8 final for the fourth year in a row and the eighth time in the last 10 years.
Only Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, Orlando Stadium and Mbombela Stadium have had the honour of hosting the MTN8 final.
Durban’s iconic venue, Moses Mabhida Stadium, has been the PSL’s preferred venue for its domestic cup competition finals.
In the past decade, the 55,000-seater stadium has hosted the Nedbank Cup final four times, more than any other venue in South Africa.
This time around, the arena will play host to two South African football giants in the finale: Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The draw was conducted on this evening, Sunday, 24 September, at Orlando Stadium in Soweto after the semi-final clash between Pirates and Stellenbosch.

The 2023/24 season’s MTN8 winner will be the first team to get their hands on the new-look top 8 competition trophy.
The new designed trophy was unveiled prior to the start of the new campaign.
Pirates kept the old trophy after beating AmaZulu FC 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium last season.
They will look to defend their title against Sundowns, a team that has already beaten them 1-0 in the league this season.
