After an impressive display in the CAF Champions League over the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns marched on and kept their mojo in the PSL after getting the better of Orlando Pirates on Wednesday evening.
Their best signing so far, Lucas Ribeiro, scored the priceless goal for the Tshwane giants to keep their winning formula.
The serial PSL champions remain unbeaten after seven rounds of fixtures, with seven wins on the trot.
They sit pretty at the summit of the DStv Premiership with 21 points on their tally, seven points ahead of their nearest rivals, Golden Arrows.

Meanwhile, Pirates came into the match limping after the shock 1-0 loss to Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy in the preliminaries of the CAF Champions League.
And they looked so determined to turn the tie in their favour, especially since they won their last league match when they beat Cape Town City 2-0 home at home.
But it was not to be as Masandawana put up a solid and inspiring performance to restrict the sea robbers in all respects.
Mamelodi Sundowns were also in the Champions League, where they claimed a comfortable 4-0 away win over Burundi’s Bumamuru FC in Tanzania.
Masandawana have managed to maintain their winning formula, as they have racked up a perfect domestic league record so far in the 2023-24 season.
KAIZER CHIEFS FIRE BLANKS AGAIN
On the other hand, SuperSport United piled more misery on Molefi Ntseki’s Kaizer Chiefs after beating them 1-0 at the New Peter Mokoba stadium.
Zimbabwean forward Terrence Dzvukamanja scored the match’s only goal two minutes into the game before Gavin Hunt’s men gallantly defended their narrow advantage.
Kaizer Chiefs came into this one hoping to return to winning ways after firing blanks in their latest match against Royal AM.
But all their efforts hit a snag, and they dropped to position eight on the standings with eight points on their tally.
Before this win, SuperSport United had suddenly hit an indifferent gear. They lost 3-0 at the hands of Golden Arrows in their last league match.
They then drew 1-1 with Gaborone United in their CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round clash on Saturday.
But the win over Kaizer Chiefs undoubtedly breathes life into them, as they leap to third position with 13 points on their tally.
In the other match, Larry Bwalya was the hero for Sekhukhune United after scoring the goal they needed to beat Cape Town City.
