The Premier Soccer League (PSL) on Tuesday announced the dates and venues of the much-anticipated two-legged MTN8 semi-finals.
Stellenbosch FC, SuperSport United, Moroka Swallows, and Cape Town City were eliminated in the quarter-finals a fortnight ago, leaving only four teams in the MTN8.
Kaizer Chiefs, who have started the new season on a bad note, will host high-flying Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of the semi-final clash at FNB Stadium in Soweto, with kickoff set for 15:00.
Sundowns will host the return leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, 23 September 2023. Sundowns beat Chiefs 2-1 in the league most recently.

SUNDOWNS TO HOST CHIEFS IN PRETORIA
The return leg, hosted by Sundowns, will be staged at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday, 23 September 2023.
Amakhosi giants booked a place in the semis after beating CT City 2-1, while Sundowns edged Swallows 1-0.
Defending champions Orlando Pirates travel to Stellenbosch for first leg of MTN8 semi-final.
Kickoff for the game is set for 15:00 on Sunday, 03 September. The encounter will be the second one between the two sides as they have already played in the DStv Premiership. Stellenbosch, having previously beaten Pirates 1-0, will be confident of their chances in the MTN8 semi-final.
Pirates will host the return fixture at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Sunday, 24 September at 15:00.
In addition, the Soweto giants will be out for revenge and to defend their title, which they won by beating AmaZulu FC in the final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium last year.
Both semi-final clashes will use the away-goal rule. “All four matches will kick-off at 15h00. Gates will open at 11h00. The PSL will advise on ticketing information in due course,” said the PSL in a statement.
