TS Galaxy boss Tim Sukazi has shared his thoughts on the club’s new signing, Thamsanqa Gabuza.

The ex-Orlando Pirates striker Gabuza was among the new Galaxy arrivals unveiled on Sunday at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in  KwaMhlanga [Mpumalanga]. 

Gabuza joins Galaxy after parting ways with SuperSport United, where he spent four seasons. 

The lanky forward made 113 appearances across all competitions and scored 22 goals in Matsatsantsa colours. He also won the MTN8 title with the club.

“We have always wanted one player at centre forward, and we believe Gabuza has the energy and the right attitude to help us,” said Sukazi. “The way we play, he will add value, and we will definitely start scoring goals a lot.”

Gabuza is one of the new 11 signings at Galaxy. Others included Mpho Mvelase Thato Khiba, both from Marumo Gallants. A goalkeeper from Rwanda, Ntwari Fiacre. He joins Galaxy from AS Kigali.

In addition, TS Galaxy brought in Solomon Letsoenyo [Stellenbosch] and Samukelo Kabini [Orlando Pirates reserves]. Casric Stars trio of  Lehlogonolo Mojela, Thabang Semache and Thabang Rakwena, and Brazilian midfielder Higor Vidal from Persebaya Surabaya in Indonesia. The last player on the list is Abdel Latif Bamba from Ivory Coast giants ASEC Mimosas. 

“We looked at the positions where we need players. As you know, we also afforded a good number of our players to play at other clubs. So we had to fill those gaps,” added Sukazi.

Galaxy also revealed their 2023/2024 home and away match jerseys, with the fans treated to a “clash between football Titans”. 

“It’s a fantastic day for us as people of our nation. We are sticking to our origin; our kit speaks to a very highly respectable blanket amongst the Ndebele nation. 

“When you look now, on the neck and on the side of the kit, you see a signature of the Ndebele nation. It talks to where we come from; everybody has an origin and a culture, and this is what we represent,” concluded the Galaxy boss.
