Aden McCarthy, son of former Kaizer Chiefs defender Fabian McCarthy has revealed how the club’s new signings are doing in camp.
Kaizer Chiefs recently welcomed seven new players as they are on a mission to strengthen the squad.
These players are Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castilo, Given Msimango, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, Ranga Chivaviro, Pule Mmodi and Tebogo Potsane
The Soweto giants are currently in camp in the Mpumalanga province in Nelspruit as they gear up for the 2023/24 campaign.
McCarthy, who is part of the Amakhosi first team pre-season, is of the view that the new arrivals are gelling well with the rest of the team
The 19-year-old has been a key figure for Chiefs’ DStv Diski Challenge squad, and he played a vital role as the club clinched the Diski Shield last year.

“With the new coach, [Molefi Ntseki] as well as new players are stepping in, and it hasn’t been difficult for them,” he said.
“They have fitted in quite well, and we have welcomed them with open arms. It is no space where people feel left out, everyone has gathered together to make them feel welcome, and they have fitted into the club.”

In addition, Aden McCarthy shared his experience of being part of the Soweto giants’ camp under the guidance of head coach Ntseki
“It’s my first with the senior team, it’s an unbelievable feeling,” he told the club’s media team,” declared the youngster.
“We’ve had like three training sessions so far, being here for the week. Other than that, the guys have been enjoying it.
“You can’t achieve it alone or in a small group, you have to do it together as one. So this pre-season camp, we’ve been learning how to become unified as one group in order to take on challenges together.”
