A new Kaizer Chiefs signing has described his move to the Soweto giants as a fulfilment of his dream.

The Glamour Boys are undergoing a reconstruction stage, having fallen from grace in the last eight years thanks to a trophy drought.

They’ve recently hired ex-Bafana Bafana coach Molefi Ntseki as the new coach, to be assisted by Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard.

Chiefs has backed the appointment with six new recruits, with more arrivals set to be unveiled by the club before the start of the season. “Announcements will be made once any deals have been concluded,” said Amakhosi

A number of players, such as Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United, Mduduzi Mdantsane from Cape Town City, Ranga Chivaviro from Marumo Gallants, Pule Mmodi from Golden Arrows and Venezuelan international Edson Daniel Castillo Garcia have been added to the mix this winter.

Amakhosi also announced the acquisition of Given Msimango on a four-year deal from TS Galaxy. He defender has since shared his thoughts on joining his ‘dream club’

The 26-year-old has been handed jersey number 25 at Chiefs. He moves to the Soweto side following a number of impressive seasons at Galaxy.

This past season, he led the club’s defence, which had an impressive defensive record. They only conceded 22 goals in 30.

The ex-Highlands Park star was even included in the Bafana Bafana preliminary squad beat Morocco 2-1 in the AFCON qualifiers last month due to his displays at club level.

Msimango, who can be deployed as a centre-back and a defensive midfielder, featured in over 70 games for the Rockets.
