Kaizer Chiefs have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of a Marumo Gallants striker ahead of the 2023/24 season.

The forward is a welcome addition to Chiefs, who did not have a reliable goal scorer last season. The club only scored 32 goals in 30 DStv Premiership matches while conceding 33.

Ranga Chivaviro will be expected to add the much-needed firepower upfront as Chiefs look to end their eight-year-long trophy draught.

Chivaviro arrives at Chiefs after a storming season with Gallants, whom he helped reach the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals.

He scored 17 goals in all competitions. But his efforts were not enough to save Gallants from relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Gallants announced Chivaviro’s move to Chiefs on Friday in a statement, where they also thanked all the other departures for the services.
