Phathutshedzo Nange is reportedly poised to reunite with Gavin Hunt in the DStv Premiership after parting ways with Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs announced the departure of Nange on Thursday as they continue to revamp the squad for the upcoming season.
However, Phathutshedzo Nange is not short of suitors as SuperSport United, coached by Hunt, are interested in acquiring his services.
Phathutshedzo Nange, a free agent, worked with Hunt previously at Chiefs and Bidvest Wits. And given the fact that Hunt is fond of the player and the recent utterances by SuperSport CEO Stan Mathews, he is likely to pen a deal with the Tshwane side.
“If Nange is a player that is free and we can agree on terms with him, he’s definitely someone who is interesting for us. Gavin [Hunt] has worked with him before. He likes him,” said Mathews last month.
But, Matsatsantsa are not the only side chasing after the player’s signature. Stellenbosch FC are also said to be in the race.
Nange is the third player to be shown the exit door at Naturena following the conclusion of the 2022/23 PSL season.

In addition, Amakhosi have bolstered the squad with the signings of Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United, Given Msimango of TS Galaxy, and Mduduzi Mdantsane from Cape Town City.
