Cape Town Spurs ascended to the top spot in the Motsepe Foundation Championship title race after a hard-fought 2-1 victory against NB La Masia at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.
It took an injury-time goal by Luvuyo Phewa to give Spurs maximum points as Casric Stars dropped points when it mattered most.

Leopards and TTM were relegated as they finished the season in 16th and 15th position, respectively, with one goal left before the season ended.
However, TTM could still have a lifeline as Venda Academy could be docked points if deemed to have used a defaulter.
