SuperSport United midfielder Jamie Webber has reportedly said something about Kaizer Chiefs with his contract at Matsatsantsa ending.
Webber is out of contract with SuperSport in June, meaning he can sign a pre-contract with any club at this stage.
The former youth international has not been a regular this season at SuperSport following the arrival of Siphesihle Ndlovu and Grant Margeman.
Ndlovu is on loan from Orlando Pirates, while Margeman is a Sundowns player. Coach Gavin Hunt has preferred the duo in midfield, sidelining Webber.
Interestingly, the club has yet to open talks for a new deal, indicating they could let him go.
A close friend of the 25-year-old has told SN24 that the player has previously expressed interest in playing for Kaizer Chiefs.
“He does want to play for Kaizer Chiefs. I mean, who wouldn’t want to leave SuperSport to go to Chiefs? Of course, there’s not been any official interest from Chiefs, but if they were to approach him, he would jump at the opportunity,” the friend told SN24.
Webber has risen to stardom at SuperSport after joining them from Stellenbosch FC five years ago.
The current season has been difficult for him, only making 15 appearances in all domestic competitions.
Last season, he made 31 appearances before the arrival of the loan duo.
The Pretoria side have already lost Thatayaone Ditlhokwe to Kaizer Chiefs, with the Botswana international signing a pre-contract in January.
Ditlhokwe will leave SuperSport at the end of the season to start life at Amakhosi.

With the Soweto giants still looking to make reinforcements in midfield, Webber could be an option they would be keen to consider.
He comes with PSL experience and international exposure, having represented Bafana Bafana at the last three editions of the Cosafa Cup.
His national team debut came at the age of 19 back in 2017. Despite the minimal game time this season, he will be looking to finish strong. SuperSport are still to play Chiefs, Pirates and Cape Town City as they look to conclude the season in second place.
A second-place finish would guarantee them CAF Champions League football next season.
